In India, Run to Give has raised USD 35,430 this year with 70 participating hotels and 4822 participating runners, the proceeds of which is slated to be given to Rising Star Outreach and the Marriott Home located in Chennai. The NGO – Rising Star Outreach has been supporting the lives of children affected by leprosy, while Marriott Home has been retrieving the lives of underprivileged children by providing them with a loving home and a good education.
Now in its fourth year, ‘Run to Give’ is unique in each location and the events are organized by different Marriott International properties in various locations; some joining hands for the first time to organize such a large-scale event. Funds raised in each location will go to a local charity for maximum relevance and a broader impact with wider reach.
