TAAI’s 65th convention in Yunnan expected to aid India’s foray into the Chinese market

The 65th TAAI convention is slated to be held in Yunnan, China beginning 27th of November. The three-day event is expected to bring together travel agents and the larger tourism community of the two countries for business and networking. The event will be held at Intercontinental Kunming, China, in the city of Yunnan. It is well known as the “Colourful Yunnan” “South of the Clouds “. The city is known for a good climate, superior geographical environment, unique national conditions and customs, rich local colour of the historical and cultural resources. Due to its advantaged resources, Yunnan tourism has developed quickly. The Convention City, Kunming, is the capital and largest city of Yunnan province in southwest China.

India’s failure in courting the Chinese outbound has been a cause of concern for the domestic tourism industry. Chinese travel the world-over and have boosted the coffers of many European nations, The USA and the likes with a high-spending and mass movement. TAAI’s foray into China is expected to come as a shot in the arm for the domestic tourism industry, eyeing a share of the lucrative Chinese outbound.
