India’s first Hyatt centric hotel, designed by studio HBA, unveiled in Bengaluru

Design Studio HBA has helped the Hyatt Centric brand make their first mark in India by designing the country’s first Hyatt Centric – Hyatt Centric MG Road Bangalore.

Located in Bengaluru, the property features 143 well-appointed guestrooms aimed at acting as a platform for guests wanting to explore and share the vibrancy of the city. The property was designed as more than a hotel, as a launchpad to seeing, tasting and feeling everything the city has to offer.

Boutique-style hotel rooms are fresh and current. The Hyatt Centric brand touchpoints include pieces of local artistry and the woman’s metaphor is woven throughout the property – the guestrooms feature stencilled graffiti.

Additional design touches inspired by the woman are bathroom tiles, the baroque furniture details inspired by the Indo-Saracenic era, the colourful hand painted trunks, the globe lights inspired by the street lamps in the British cantonment and the blue and white striped fabric throws pulled from the stripes that enliven the streets as one drives by.

The hotel restaurant is a contemporary all-day-dining concept with a five-metre-high ceiling and a full-height sliding glass door, creating a harmonious balance between the indoor and outdoor.
