AI Express to operate more flights to clear Onam, Bakrid rush.

Air India Express, the low-cost arm of the national carrier Air India, plans to operate 46 additional flights for the Gulf travelers to operate 46 additional flights for the Gulf travelers to clear the heavy rush during Onam and Bakrid. 44 services would be operated from Sharjah to Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, New Delhi and back and 2 services on the Riyadh-Kozhikode route.

The Sharjah- Kochi service will be on August 25, 31 and September 2.  The flight from Sharjah on August 25 will start at 7.05 am and will reach Kochi at 12.35 pm. On August 31 and September 2, the flight will begin service from Sharjah in the evening at 6.20 and reach Kochi midnight 11.50 pm. Of the 40 flights to Sharjah and back, 36 will be from the airports in the State. As many as 16 flights will be from Thiruvananthapuram, 6 from Kochi and 14 from Kozhikode.
